Abstract

The paper presents a portable multichannel active noise control (PANC) system destined for creation of spatial zones of quiet in enclosures. PANC is an autonomous analog input/output system with 8 analog input channels for reference and error microphones, and 8 analog output channels for control loudspeakers. PANC is controlled by Renesas SH4 CPU with a 240 MHz clock aided for data processing by Spartan 2E FPGA. It may process data with the maximum sampling frequency 100kHz. In the paper details of hardware as well as software solutions are described.
