Abstract
A β type Stirling engine which used a scotch yoke mechanism was made. This engine installed a regenerator into displacer piston for minimizing a dead space of fluid path. The mechanical loss of the engine was investigated at room temperature. For reducing the mechanical loss due to friction, several kinds of lubricant oil were tested. The influence of pore size of regenerator was made clear experimentally.
