Abstract

Abstract The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is the U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) focal point for reducing the present threat of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and preparing for this threat in the future. DTRA's activities include anticipating future WMD threats, shaping the international environment to reduce current threats, deterring and defeating the use of WMD, and managing the consequences of a WMD event.
