Abstract

Large atrial septal defects (ASDs) especially those with deficient retroaortic rim, pose a challenge for transcatheter closure. The Gore Cardioform ASD occlude (GASD) is a newer occluder specifically designed to overcome some of these difficulties. To date, there has been only limited data evaluating this occluder in larger defects.
