Abstract
New results from the ZEUS and H1 experiments on the production of D*(2010)± mesons in ep collisions are reported. The D* production is determined by measuring the decay chain D*+ → D0πs+, D0 → K−π+ (and c.c.). Total charm cross sections for photoproduction and deep inelastic scattering are presented. First signals for D* production in diffractive photoproduction are also shown.
