Abstract

1. The compound isolated from starfish, Asterina pectinifera, was identical with D-cysteinolic acid which was obtained from seaweeds by previous workers. 2. Amberlite IR-4B was pretty effective for the separation of taurine and the compound. The authors are grateful to Dr. M.
