Abstract

The effects of the introduction of π -donor and π -acceptor molecules as in-plane ligands have been investigated in K 2[Pt(py)X 3][Pt(py)X 5]. 2H 2O (py=pyridine; X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(py)-X) and Cs 2[Pt(NO 2)(NH 3)X 2]-[Pt(NO 2)(NH 3)X 4] (X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(NO 2)-Cl) by means of the polarized reflectance spectra, and polarized excitation spectra of photocurrent and photo-induced absorptions.
