Abstract
Hitherto, crossing between triploid and diploid plants in Hemerocallis was very difficult. But the hybrid plants were obtained by using triploid clone (H. fulva var. fulva) as mother plant and diploid (H. aurantiaca) as pollen ones and kept them under open condition after pollination. The chromosome numbers of them were intermediate between those of both parents.
