Abstract

Miniprotoplasts capable of cytokinesis were isolated from cultured tobacco cells (BY-2) at anaphase by brief centrifugation in the absence of cytochalasin B. The cytokinesis was observed both in the absence and in the presence of cytochalasin B. Formation of furrow and spherical daughter cells were enhanced in the presence of cytochalasin B.
