Abstract
One hundred and sixty cystine micro calculi caused total urethral obstruction in an adult male caracal lynx. Death occurred due to ruptureof the urinary bladder. The rare occurrence of cystine calculi in Felidae is discussed, together with the occurrence of cystinuria in man.
