Some information on its dispersal and transmission and conservation status is given, along with details of its geographical distribution (USA (Missouri and Washington), Japan, Australia (Western Australia), Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Irish Republic, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and Yugoslavia) and hosts ( Quercus sp., Alnus glutinosa, Betula sp., Corylus avellana, Corylus sp., Crataegus sp., Ilex aquifolium, Phellodendron amurense, Populus sp., Quercus garyana, Q. petraea, Q, robur and Trentepohlia sp.).
