Abstract
Plastic cylinder head covers gain increasing influence in the field of high-performance engines. This article shows that the high power density of a modern engine does not exclude the application of these covers. The polyamide cover with integrated blow-by oil separation is a cooperatively development of the system supplier Robert Bosch GmbH and BMW.
