Abstract

The cyclic stress-strain behavior in notched and unnotched [±45]3s AS4/ PEEK thermoplastic composite laminates was studied. A plasticity model for cyclic deformation developed for unidirectional thermoplastic composites was used to describe the behavior of each lamina, and the laminate behavior was obtained by using the classical lamination theory. Model predictions of stress-strain curves were compared with ex perimental results.
