Abstract
ABSTRACTCybotactic nematic phase of the bent-core liquid crystals are considered as the new functional material for the next-generation liquid crystal display because of its unusual physical properties which has no calamitic counterpart. In this work, the cybotactic nature of the bent-core liquid crystal are confirmed by dielectric spectroscopy. The liquid crystal sample also shows a lower tendency towards crystallization paving the way for room temperature liquid crystal devices.
