Abstract

This chapter provides overviews of cyber security considerations for Automated Electro-Mobility (AEM) services and discusses cyber security challenges in peer-to-peer (P2P) car-sharing schemes in the urban areas. Connected and Autonomous Electric Vehicles (CAEVs) are basically a combination of connected vehicles (CV), autonomous vehicles (AV), and electric vehicles (EV). A car-sharing is one aspect of shared mobility, which is getting attention in the urban areas. In modern days, more and more people are relying on such mobility services that have several benefits. The main security goals for AEM services are authentication, authorization, integrity, confidentiality, non-repudiation, and availability. Due to the continually evolving nature of security risks, it may be one of the problematic elements in cyber security domain. Conjugated authentication and authorization (CAA) method comprised of the entity authentication of the participating entities and authenticated prior binding (APB). The CAA method is devised to furnish an explicit non-repudiation of the participating entities for the access control to the charging activities.
