Abstract
Emergent topics related to cyberphysical-social systems (CPSS) in electrical power are the subject of this book. An explanation of CPSS and highlights are included in the Foreword and Introduction, highlighting the penetration of computing and networked communications in most of the physical environments of our lives. These communications have been complemented by human ideas or actions and implemented via computers (cyber), sensors, controls, distributed computing, distributed energy resources, flexible alternating current transmission systems, and economics. In the computer and information age, the Internet of Things is now a powerful enabler for the cyberphysical system reality.
