Abstract
A hitherto unnamed species of Cyathus is described as C. pictus. In form, the species resembles C. stercoreus, which it also resembles in the possession of very large globose spores. C. pictus differs markedly from C. stercoreus in lacking the long external hairs of the latter and in possessing a reddish band just below the outside of the peridium mouth.
