Abstract

Using tricyanometalate [(Tp)Fe(CN) 3] − (Tp − = hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate) as building block, the 1-D chain polymer containing paramagnetic Ru 2(II,III) dinuclear complex, [Ru 2(O 2C tBu) 4][(Tp)Fe(CN) 3] ( 1), was synthesized and its structure was determined. Magnetic measurements indicate that there is antiferromagnetic interaction between Ru 2 units ( s = 3/2) and low-spin Fe III ions ( s = 1/2).
