Abstract

Properties of a model liquid dicyanate ester/polycyanurate material are reported; the behavior is expected to be general for other polycyanurate and thermosetting resins. The discussion will include the effects of conversion on transition temperatures, on isothermal mechanical properties (storage and loss moduli) and on the rate of isothermal physical aging. The effect of temperature on aged and unaged mechanical properties, and on the rate of physical aging are also examined.
