Abstract

The output parameters of a disk Nd:YVO4 laser with a degenerate two-mirror cavity and one-, two- and three-point diode pumping are studied without the use of intracavity spectral selectors. The TEM00 lasing contained two equal-intensity frequency components with a spectral width less than 6 × 10−3 cm−1 (<180 MHz) full width at half maximum (FWHM) and a distance between them of 5 × 10−2 cm−1 (1.5 GHz). The explanation of the nature of the spectrally selective properties of the degenerate resonator is proposed and experimentally substantiated.
