Abstract

A cw tunable dye laser (540–640 nm) was used to excite molecular fluorescence of five species in a flame. Real-time fluorescence spectra of SrOH, CaOH, CrO, MnO and C 2 were recorded. Different types of fluorescence behavior were observed and were contrasted with emission spectra.
