Abstract
The cut-off wavenumbers of elliptic sectoral resonators are analysed and their relations to the complete elliptic resonator and the sectoral circular resonator are demonstrated. From these relations approximate methods are developed for computing the cut-off wavenumbers of the elliptic sectoral resonators, which are fast and fairly accurate.
