Abstract

The patient was a 45-year-old man with HIV-1 infection (CD4 cell count 257cells/μl) on antiretroviral therapy with tenofovir, emtricitabine, and dolutegravir, who had completed treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis 15 years before. He presented to the outpatient clinic with a 9-month history of two asymptomatic slow-growing verrucous and hyperkeratotic plaques located on the nose and in the left malar region, with nasal mucosa involvement (Figure 1). He had also had soft palate lesions for 1 year, which had previously been examined without a conclusive diagnosis.
