Abstract
Cutaneous pseudolymphomas (CPLs) are a group of benign lymphoproliferative conditions of the skin that histologically and, occasionally clinically, resemble malignant cutaneous lymphomas. CPLs may resemble cutaneous T-cell lymphomas or cutaneous B-cell lymphomas. The differentiation between benign and malignant lymphoproliferations can be challenging and requires a combination of clinical, histological, immunohistological and molecular analysis for accurate diagnosis. On rare occasions, absolute differentiation may not be possible. In this review, we discuss the histological techniques used in the evaluation of lymphoproliferations.
