Abstract

Cutaneous mixed tumors show a wide range of differentiation and metaplastic changes in their components. However, pilomatricomal differentiation is a rare phenomenon and, when present, is usually only focal. We report a case of a 59-year-old male who presented with a large tumor in the scalp. Histopathologic examination revealed an apocrine mixed tumor with prominent pilomatricomal differentiation.
