Abstract
We evaluate the one-loop effective potential for the massless N-component spinor field with quartic self-interaction on curved Kaluza-Klein background of the form M4 × Sd. We study the condition for re-establishing the broken chiral symmetry in the effective potential where as the critical parameter we take the curvature of the Sd sphere and as the order parameter we take the product . The cases d=1,3 and 5 are analysed.
