Abstract

Hydroarylation of alkynes and alkenes using metal free catalysts is one of the most fascinating and useful tools for regioselective C–C bond forming reactions. These hydroarylated compounds have gained significant interest due to their wide applications in industrial and medicinal fields. In this context, this review focuses on the recent advances in hydroarylation of alkynes and alkenes using several metal free catalysts with critical analysis. The future prospective and opportunity along with shortcomings of reported different catalytic methods have also been well highlighted in this present review article. Along with authoritative discussion, author insight on the trends and developments on the said topic has also been accentuated.
