Abstract

To minimize the power loss of dual active bridge (DAB) converters, the issue of current stress minimization based on bidirectional inner dual phase shift (BIDPS) control for DAB is analyzed and an optimal control strategy is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the operating principle of BIDPS control is introduced. Then based on this control method, the minimum current stress under different operating conditions is derived and an optimal control algorithm is presented. Finally, experiments are implemented to validate the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
