Abstract

Objetive To describe the status of nursing manpower in 12 community health service centers in Guangzhou and to analyze existing problems and provide corresponding suggestions.Methods A survey on all the nurses in 12 community centers was conducted by self-designed questionnaires.Results Community nurses were generally younger and had lower professional titles and weaker scientific research strength. However, their educational level has been enhancing. 56.7% of the nurses received moderate or higher level of professional education.Conclusions An increased educational level of community nurses lays a good foundation for nursing manpower training in the future.
