Abstract

The medical education system of Japan was based on the model core curriculum formulated by the MEXT (Ministry of Science, Ministry of Culture, Japan), and was developed according to the characteristics of each university. This article outlined the overall requirements of the MEXT for the system of Japanese medical education. Focusing on the setting up of the medical system of Tokyo University. The current system of medical education in Japan was systematically summarized from a general view up to special points, and the characteristics of the system of Japanese medical education was analyzed, thus providing ideas for the reform of the system of medical education in China.
