Abstract

The report provides the description of the main demands, approaches and results of the design of the industrial energy complex (IPC) with fast nuclear reactors. A conceptual design (‘outline design’) of the IPC has been developed, which combines industrial reactor units with power output of 1200 MW and closed nuclear fuel cycle facilities. The main solutions and technical and economic indicators are defined. To get higher results with minimum resource spend, we implemented the way of consideration of different solutions, extensive use of digital technologies in designing, applying better solutions well-known both in the nuclear and other industries. The issue of the influence of preferred type of nuclear reactor on IPC design solutions was discussed. The perspective ways of further developments were defined.
