Current situation of the wage gap in the company. In particular, the case of the autonomous community of Euskadi

Abstract

The gender pay gap has been fought for years, but despite the effort, this phenomenon still exists. The gender pay gap in the Basque Country is between 9.5% and 19.5% (differing depending on the way in which it is calculated). The problem is evident and is being debated. In this article, we will analyze the factors that contribute to the wage gap, and we will determine if the measures that are being adopted recently can help to reduce the gender pay gap in the Basque Country.
