Abstract

Fenestrated endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (FEVAR) is becoming the preferred treatment option for complex aortic aneurysms. In the United States, the limited access to fenestrated endografts delayed the adoption of FEVAR. Physician-modified endovascular grafts (PMEGs) were the answer to such limitations. In this issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Hemingway et al1 review their initial experience with the use of modified Treo devices. They report acceptable 30-day outcomes and early technical and clinical success.
