Abstract

By 2040, the number of people with diabetes will exceed 600 million. Diabetic foot ulcer, which is a serious complication, is the primary cause of diabetic lower limb amputation. Effective prevention and management of diabetic foot ulcers is important. This paper summarized the clinical manifestation and classification of diabetic foot ulcer, the classification of risk factors and the status of preventive nursing research, and discussed the future research direction.
