Abstract

In this article, to deal with the undesired high input current ripple of dc–dc floating interleaved boost converter caused by the switch open-circuit fault, an innovative fault remedy method by reconfiguring uneven new phase shift angles is developed. The derivation process of the reconfigured uneven new phase shift angle using selected harmonic elimination approach is presented. The performance evaluation results show that, compared with the conventional even phase shift reconfiguration, the proposed uneven phase shift reconfiguration can achieve significant improvement in reducing the converter input current ripple. The implementation method of the phase shifting based on the carrier wave in pulsewidth modulation module is also given in detail. Finally, both simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
