Abstract

Introduction - Thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAAA) and dissections associated with connective tissue disorders (CTD) represent a serious disease, mostly affecting young patients, with specific features and indications to surgical repair. Since their incidence is relatively rare, little is known on current results of aortic open replacement (OR). We analyzed the results of CTD patients who underwent OR in the last 5 years at our Centre using a standardized surgical and anaesthesiological approach.
