Abstract
Currents in the Al/L- alpha -distearoylphosphatidylcholine monolayer/Bi system generated by illumination with UV, visible, and IR light were investigated. Anomalous current was observed whose direction in irradiation with UV and visible light was opposite to that with IR light. The transient current peak in the three wavelength regions was larger in the films deposited by the horizontal lifting method than in those deposited by the vertical dipping method. The current response in irradiation with IR light was due to the pyroelectric effect. The maximum pyroelectric coefficient of 31 mu C/m/sup 2/K was obtained. >
