Abstract

Management of post-thrombotic iliofemoral venous occlusive disease may require stent extension across the inguinal ligament into the common femoral vein. Chronic occlusion of these stents represents a unique and growing challenge in patients with C5-C6 venous disease (Fig 1). The purpose of the study is to report 1-year outcomes of femoral endovenectomy and old stent excision with concomitant iliofemoral vein recanalization when performed to restore iliofemoral venous flow in patients with chronically occluded iliofemoral stents.
