Abstract
The purpose of the article is to consider organizational, legal and land management issues related to the actions of local governments in relation to unclaimed land shares. The paper contains the examples of such work in the municipalities of the Saratov region, and indicates the problems happened in the process of formation of land plots from the shares of this type. The authors give a positive assessment to the new rules coming into force in 2025, according to which there will be a one-time extrajudicial transfer of all such shares into municipal ownership. It is indicated that in order to ensure the solution of this process, it is necessary to promptly update the entire system of legislation on land management, as well as introduce modern digital technologies.
