Abstract
This issue’s “What is happening” is focused on an area of current interest, elegantly described, by Jean Amiral and Jerard Seghatchian using newer concepts and methods to meet the multiple challenges of measuring the potency and the activation states of one of the most important clotting factors, FVII, with improved sensitivity, specificity, and precision. FVII has different activity states in various pathophysiological conditions and can be activated in a number of ways, including during the cold storage of blood or plasma [ 1 Seghatchian J.
