The spine is the most frequent location for skeletal metastases[1][1] which occur in up to 40% of patients with cancer.[2][2],[3][3] The most common primary sites are the breast, prostate and lung, with involvement of 39.3%, 23.5%, and 19.9%, respectively[1][1] and with a slight male predominance.[4
