Abstract

The collinear $U(3)\ensuremath{\bigotimes}U(3)$ subalgebra of the chiral $U(6)\ensuremath{\bigotimes}U(6)$ algebra is considered. Assuming that the densities transform like the generators, the commutation relations are saturated by using the octet and the decuplet of baryons. The matrix elements of the commutators are taken with respect to states of opposite momentum parallel to the direction specified by the algebra. The resulting equations give rise to relations between vector and axial-vector form factors for all values of the momentum transfer. A discussion is given of the connection of these results with similar relations obtained from the spurion scheme of broken $U(6, 6)$ symmetry.
