Abstract
The new technique of Schnitzer and Weinberg for treating hard-pion processes is applied to the calculation of processes involving $K$ mesons. Each decay formula obtained in this approach is a function of the ratio $\frac{{F}_{K}}{{F}_{\ensuremath{\pi}}}$ and a free parameter. By fitting the experimental data on the decay widths, it is found that the ranges of the parameters entering in the present calculation agree with the range of parameter found by Schnitzer and Weinberg. It is also found that the value of $\frac{{F}_{K}}{{F}_{\ensuremath{\pi}}}$ lies in the range of 1.10 to 1.15.
