Abstract
Despite different kinds of considerations regarding the novel coronavirus pandemic, the consequences-directly or indirectly-have affected many human life domains, including its existential values. The current brief essay aimed to discuss some aspects that cross the human condition in the current pandemic's scenario. The relationship between cure and care was the guideline that conducted this purpose. The maturation of space that links both phenomena-cure and care-is crucial to qualify human existence, whereas life is threatened not only by the coronavirus.
