Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect, safety and indication of mini-percutaneous nephroscope lithoipsy (mPCNL) in semi-supine anterolateral position for complicated renal stones. Methods From January 2010 to June 2016, clinical data of 360 patients with complicated renal stones who divided into prone position, lateral decubitus position and semi-supine anterolateral position group were retrospectively reviewed.Factors such as stone-free rate (SFR), operation duration, complications hospitalization time were analyzed among the three groups. Results All operations were successful. The mean operation time of the semi-supine anterolateral position groups was(65±24)min, 1 patient had colon injury, 4 patients had pyelocaliceal perforation, the SFR was 89.2% (214/240). The blood loss, stone-free rate, complications and position comfort after one session by semi-supine anterolateral position were significantly advantageous compared with the other body positions. Conclusions mPCNL in semi-supine position is an safety and effective method to deal with complicated kidney stones with a high success rates and a quite low complication. Key words: Kidney Calculi; Nephrostomy, Percutaneous; Posture
