Abstract

Objective To analyze the efficacy and side effects of rabeprazole and omeprazole for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),and guide the clinical medication.Methods One hundred ninety-three GERD patients who were diagnosed by clinical symptoms and laboratory,were randomly divided into rabeprazole group (92 cases) and omeprazole group (101 cases).The symptoms integral,esophageal mucosa improvement and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups after eight weeks treatment.Results Compared with the omeprazole gToup,the clinical symptom integral calculus were significantly reduced and the overall efficiency was better in rabeprazole group after treatment (P < 0.05).In the rabeprazole group,mucosal changed under endoscopic view.Pathologica were significantly reduced,the integral was significantly reduced and the esophageal mucosa healing rate and total effective rate was higher than those of omeprazole group (P < 0.05).The drug adverse reaction appeared in both groups,but there was less adverse reaction in the rabeprazole group,the difference was statistical significant(P <0.05).Conclusions Rabeprazole in the treatment of GERD have more significant clinical symptoms remission rate,esophageal mucosa period and less adverse reaction,it is worth clinical further popularization and application.
