Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effects of calcium alginate dressing and adhesive dressing combined with recombinant human granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF) in the treatment of children with partial-thickness burn wound. Methods Forty-eight children with partial-thickness burn wound were divided into four groups according to random number table method, silver sulfadiazine + vaseline gauze group (group A), calcium alginate + adhesive dressing group (group B), rhGM-CSF + vaseline gauze group (group C), rhGM CSF + calcium alginate + adhesive dressings (group D), with 12 cases in each group. Recorded the number of dressing changes, wound healing time and visual analog scale to assess each dressing pain in children. Results In group D, the healing time was (9.4±1.3)d in 12 cases with superficial partial thickness burn wound, deep partial thickness burn wound healing time was (17.6±3.8)d, were significantly lower than those in group A[(13.1±1.7), (2.56±3.3)d], group B[(12.0±1.5), (21.0±2.8)d] and group C[(11.2±2.3), (20.7±3.1)d]. In group D, the dressing times was (5.6±1.7), was lower than that in group A (11.8±3.1), group B (19.5±2.7) and group C (7.6±2.9). The early pain scores was (2.21±1.23) and the late pain score was (1.83±1.02) in group D, which was lower than than in group A(8.31±2.25, 6.45±2.57), group B(2.97±1.55, 2.21±1.23) and group C(2.21±1.23, 2.21±1.23), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Compare with single use of rhGM-CSF or alginate calcium alginate dressing, the treatment of algae rhGM-CSF+ acid calcium + viscous dressing in the treatment of children with partial-thickness burn wound has the advantage of reducing the pain of dressing change, and effectively prevent the wound from deep partial thickness burn wound of children to deepen and accelerate the wound healing.
