Abstract
We re-examine and generalize the theory and discuss the experimental results on noncollinear parametric conversion of coherent and incoherent conical beams in nonlinear crystals. The results relevant to the problem of cumulative pump action and output pattern formation in the OPO and OPG are pointed out. The theoretical model is based on the noncollinear phase-matching of three coherent conical beams, which is a starting point to find the appropriate conditions needed for cumulative action of an incoherent conical pump beam. The experimental results cover the OPO and OPG based on a KTP crystal pumped by coherent and incoherent conical beams at 532 nm.
