Abstract

Wynetta Y. Lee is an Associate Professor of Higher Education in the Department of Adult and Community College Education at North Carolina State University (NCSU). She has also worked as a research analyst specializing in education policy with the Tennessee State Legislature and worked collaboratively with colleagues at the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to develop a program to reward institutions with incentive funding for progress toward institutional diversity. Lee also has extensive experience in program development/ implementation in both higher education and nonprofit organizations. Her research focuses on the educational equity and academic success of minorities, women, the academically underprepared, and community college transfers. She also studies diversity initiatives and curriculum reform.
