Abstract

This article explores the profound role of cultural symbols and imagery in English literature, tracing their evolution from the medieval period to contemporary works. By examining religious, nature, social, political, racial, and gender symbols, the article highlights how these literary devices enhance thematic depth, create atmosphere, and aid character development.
